JFK Wrestling’s Mission Statement: We will use the sport of wrestling as a vehicle to help every athlete become more successful and happier on and off the mat.
Life is a series of challenges. If you don’t understand why you’re taking on a challenge or how to persevere when the challenge is difficult, you won’t be successful with the challenge and will likely experience depression and/or anxiety.
Challenge is inherent with wrestling. Every practice is difficult, and competitions are typically outside of all of our comfort zones.
Because of this, wrestling is an amazing opportunity to learn how to take on difficulty. As our athletes work through this adversity, the coaching staff will guide them along the way, helping them learn to run towards challenges rather than shy away from them.
Learning to attack challenges fosters more effort and more control, leading directly to success and happiness now and in the future.

Our goal is to help young people learn to attack challenges to become better people on and off the mat. While winning is not the goal, it is a byproduct of everyone improving themselves and supporting each other. In 2024, JFK wrestling accomplished the following:

How to Sign Up.
Athletes must be in good academic standing with the school (2.0 GPA from the previous semester).
Additionally, athletes must complete forms and upload a current physical on athleticclearance.com by October 20th. Please check the following website for more information:

JFK Wrestling is a self-funding program. Our expenses include tournament fees, uniforms, safety equipment, cleaning supplies, and lodging for the state tournament in Bakersfield.
